Pictures of EMD GP9s

Here you can find pictures of EMD GP 9 model engines. These engines were owned by the Bangor & Aroostook (BAR), Saint Lawrence & Atlantic (SLR), and Guilford/PanAm's Springfield Terminal (ST), and a GP 9 Slugg that the Boston & Maine created as a trial.

The GP9 series was built between January of 1954 and December of 1959, weighs 249,000 lbs and uses a 567C 16 cylinder diesel prime mover that develops 1750 hp, and 62,750 lb of tractive effort, and carries 800 gallons of fuel. My thanks to The Diesel Shop for the information.
